Labradoodle Update - 6 months

Our labradoodle puppies passed their 6 month birthday before the holiday season.
I am excited to give you an update on what they are doing and how they have grown.
We have heard back from all of our families.
All of the families said that our pups house trained quickly.
We have great reports on temperament with all of them as well. One family even compared their pup to a pure bred Lab pup at puppy obedience class and was amazed at how much more calm her Labradoodle was compared to the Lab.
As for the hair, as expected, there is some shedding. However, the pup who had the fluffiest coat as a baby seems to be shedding less than the others.

Luna (we called her Kisses)

Fitz (we called him Peanut Brittle)

Homer (we called him P.J.)

Jude (aka - Raisin)

Scotch (also known as Scotcheroo)

Overall, we have received great reports on all of the puppies. They are turning into wonderful dogs and family members. Each family has remarked on their pleasure over the pups intelligence and personality.
We are really pleased with how these pups are turning out and very thankful for the loving families they were each placed with.
I am amazed at the size of each of them. We thought they would be large dogs and we were right. One of the boys was already weighing in at 60 lbs before his 6 month birthday.  However, even in the pictures you can tell that the boys are larger than their little sister (the black one).
I love their scruffy faces. It is hard to believe these big dogs are the same as our little puppies. They have all changed and grown so much!
Thank you puppy families for sharing your pictures and information with us.

The Labradoodles and Their Forever Families

The puppy whirlwind has come to an end.
Within the span of 4 days they were all placed with their forever families.
As each one was picked up, it was a bittersweet moment of saying goodbye. We enjoyed them so much and had so much fun with them. They were so entertaining and cute. We put a lot of time and effort and love into raising them up. My hope is that they will each grow to be a wonderful companion and friend for their new family.

Each puppy was placed with great new moms, dads, and families. Everyone was so excited for a labradoodle of their own.
Plus, each new puppy owner agreed to have their picture taken with their new baby for the blog. Thank you!
Here they are for you all to say good bye to.

Everyone was excited to take their puppy home. I am hoping to see some pictures of our babies as they grow up. I am eager to see how they change and mature. And to see how big they get! Those paws don't lie.

Thank you to all of you who shared my posts or talked to people about our pups. I am very thankful for all of the support and sharing you have all done.

Puppy Pictures That are Too Cute to Resist

5 1/2 week old puppies are too cute.
I mean it.
Too cute.
They could chew up my favorite pair of shoes and it would be hard to get mad at that adorable little face.
That's how cute they are.
Because I have to be under the spell of puppy cuteness everyday, I am going to share some pictures to torture you as well. No one should have to suffer alone after all.

You are welcome for sharing this particular form of torture. You know you like it.

Wrastlin'

We no longer have sleepy puppies that lay around and snuggle all day long. They have turned into rabble rousers that investigate, interrogate, and just generally gnaw on anything they can sink their little teeth into. They are vigorous and ruthless wrestlers when they are tangling with their siblings. But it always ends with them being friends again.
This is Scotch and P.J. There are no rules among these pups. Anything goes in their play. They will stick their opponents whole nose in their mouth and chomp down. Ears, tails, paws, and other things - it's all fair game.

"Grrr, I'm gonna eat your face!"

They are definitely in the teething phase. Having them bite each other is no big deal, but we don't want them thinking the same way about people. We are trying to be vigilant in not letting them gnaw on us, replacing toes and hands with a chew toy instead. It'll take them a little time, they are just puppies after all, but they will get it.
In the mean time, they are very entertaining to watch!
